Winged
Interactive Projection Mapping Experience (2021)
Touch Designer, After Effects
The Winged interactive installation is greatly inspired by the global angel wing graffiti trend. The project combines computer vision with projection mapping to create an interactive and immersive display. A hypnotic array of colourful visuals is projected onto a low-poly foam-core rendition of wings. True to the inspiration, it acts as a mesmerizing backdrop for public display. The user can interact with the installation by moving their arms to disrupt the starry particles or use a flashlight to change the wing pattern.

Pulse
Projection Mapping Installation (2021)
Touch Designer, Blender, After Effects, Pepakura Designer
Pulse is a sculptural installation that explores the connections between humans and nature, the microcosm and macrocosm. Using projection mapping, a plain paper sculpture is brought to life through animated metamorphosis. The bonsai tree goes through a cycle, at first standing still until a quiet pulse begins in the centre of the trunk. The tree shakes more with each beat until it becomes a beating heart pulsing with life. The metamorphosis aims to spark imagination and encourage the audience to notice the interconnectedness of our world.
